I visited Durham in late 2000 almost exclusively because of the Cathedral, in whose cloisters Harry Potter was filmed. If you look at views of Hogwarts in the early films you can clearly see Durham Cathedral integrated into the structure.
I love it that you sent me the postcard about the guy who cussed too much. ALSO that it is where part of Harry Potter was filmed. How did you know??? THANKS for the postcard!!! 🙂
