Dear Greg,
How are you? I hope you had a lovely Christmas.
London, 4.30am. Who am I kidding – London? I’m in Surrey. I’m eating a bacon sandwich and drinking sweet tea, listening to your podcast. The dawn chorus is starting up. My head feels like the Russian army is having a party in there, and not the good kind. I flew in from New York a couple of days ago and jetlag is kicking my ass.
Anytime you list your schedule I wonder, how the hell do you do it? You are all over the USA and UK every week, how do you handle the travel exhaustion, the jet lag?
I think of you having to deal with TSA agents barking orders at you every other day like you’re in a labour camp. If I were in your shoes (which if I were I’d be passing through the x-ray machine right about now) I’d build a time machine, go to the future and bring back the Star Trek transporter technology to the present. Really, how do you do it? I am in awe.
Lastly, I’ve written this text onto a postcard; it’s part of a writing project where I write and send a postcard a day out into the world – I am almost to 500. I take photos of them and blog about it.
I would love to send this postcard to you personally. If you dig it, please send me a mail address where I can send it, perhaps your management or agent or something. I never publish anyone’s address.
Wishing you the best for 2013,
Juan-Luis
Well I can't speak for Greg, but I use melatonin when I travel.
