I was riding the bus in LA and – let me stop there to address the inevitable.
Yes, there are buses in LA. There is an extensive network, and it is cheaper, cleaner and more regular than London’s. Plus, PLUS, you can put bikes on a bike rack that sits on the front. Eat that, London. NO I was not unemployed (actually…). YES I still had a car and a valid driving license. NO Keanu Reeves was not on the bus, NOR was it being threatened by terrorists. There were lots of different kinds of people on this bus but no one tried to sell me drugs or had a shoot out on the bus. Besides, it would be silly to attack a bus in LA, as they have bars on the bullet-proof windows.
ANYWAY, I was reading my neighbour’s reading matter (what? I was bored), and it was a stack of papers, neatly printed with double spaces, and a bunch of hand-written notes that my neighbour was writing on them, as her pen slowly dragged as she was falling asleep. Clearly she was a teacher marking her students’ work. I studied on sentence in the middle of the top most paper: “the small intestine of poultry is relatively simple and short but highly efficient.” No wonder she fell asleep.
as a bio nerd, I'd probably want to read more 😛
My dyslexic brain wants to read it as
“Paltry Insides”
Haha now that's a postcard!
But Juan, you are misleading people!
Of course Keanu was not on the bus! (his bus was a Santa Monica “Blue” Bus) but you aren't going to convince me that there was no shoot-out. It's just not an LA bus ride w/o a shoot-out.
