As we approached the front entrance of Hampton Court Palace, I presented our new membership card. The attendant looked at the back.
“You’ll want to sign it,” she said.

“Now?” I asked.

“In your own time.” She looked at me expectantly.

“So, I should do it.. now?” I asked again.

She smiled. “In your own time,” and she let us pass.

After we were done at the Palace I climbed into my time machine, zipped over to 2312 (my own time – what else?), found a pen (hard to come by in the future), signed the card, got back into the machine and returned to 2013.
