This is a case of a postcard (#496 btw) ending somewhere completely different from where I started. It wasn’t at all what I thought I was going to do, much like the best travel experiences.

If you like travel, you should read the travel blog “Lifetime of a Journey”, written by Michael, now on day 40-something of a long trip. Presently in India, he blogs elegantly and honestly about the most excruciating details. Sometimes it seems like everyone is on a life-changing trip or exploring some new extreme sport and blogging about it, but he is singular in talking about his instincts and desires, lofty and base, in a way that I cannot.
My parents, who live with me, read my blog and comment on anything that might be controversial or could upset 1 in 6,000,000 people. Artists shouldn’t, I know, worry about their parents – I suspect Picasso wasn’t too concerned about his mothers’ reaction to the nudes he depicted, or yet another of his lovers.
I say – “my parents, who live with me”, as though that’s the reason, and NOW I’m nervous about what they’ll say to me when they read this.
Just.. read Michael’s blog will ya? Sheesh.
