I don’t like staying at work late, but cycling through the night streets of London has its own pleasures. Like tonight, for instance, when I coincided with the post-theatre crowds. First I went past the ‘Rock of Ages’ theatre, and shortly after that the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
