I don’t know whether to be elated or terrified. I’ve done a bit of amateur dramatics (no, England, I wont call it Am-dram, you can go sit in the corner with your fellow Rom-com), but nothing like this. I’ve been cast in Troilus and Cressida, one of Shakespeare’s tragedies. It will be performed at the British museum on 3rd of September, in about six week’s time. The catch? The company that is staging it, the Guerrilla Shakespeare Company, doesn’t rehearse. I received the script, I need to learn my lines but as yet I’ve received no other direction or instructions. For all I know I may receive no more communication until just before the performance. It’s exciting, freeing, and utterly daunting. Back to running lines.
