In keeping with the previous posting about the postcards being potential training for writing short stories, I decided to go one step further, and write six word novels. It’s a well known writing exercise, and it’s good for trying to encapsulate a whole world in the briefest space imaginable. I like the ones that hint at a larger world, or that confound your expectations of what might happen, suggest some contradiction at their heart. I keep coming up with new ones, although most are not worth it, of course. I will be sending a few a week from now on.
