100 days goes by incredibly quickly, yet I am so happy to have sent out this many, and so many more to go.
It’s an ongoing experiment and it’s exciting to start the day with an empty card and wonder what might happen.
More than once I’ve wondered why I’m doing this. There are days when I have no idea what to write, or whether I ever had anything good to write to begin with.
What will Missive #100 be, and who will receive it? Check back later to see, but Maria said she wanted it, and I am in no position to argue with my wonderful wife, who has dealt with the everyday business of life while I’ve been writing, scanning and posting about the cards.
A few highlights from the past 100 days:
- Day #22 – Aladdin and his Magic Anuja
- Day #26 – Man With A Briefcase Takes A Bath
- Day #45 – Human Sacrifice
- Day #51 – I Liked The Austrian Way Better
- Day #66 – Indigo’s Adventures
- Day #82 – How To Tame A Lion
- Day #86 – Autumn
- Day #88 – Don’t Go Back For Your Wife
Goals for the next 100 cards:
- To send a card to any or all of the following countries: China, Russia, Kenya, Nigeria, Japan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Suriname
- To send five cards out to complete strangers
- To receive as a gift someone’s old unused postcard collection to add to my own
- To receive postcards in return
where is mine? How about sending one to our troops in Iraq and Afghanisthan.

@Carren: it's an interesting question – I'd rather people contact me via email and we can sort it out that way :). I'll think about it!
