The postcard text reads:
A colleague returned from a few weeks’ holiday today. He visited many places in Europe. Someone asked me if he had sent many postcards. No, he replied, I didn’t send any, in fact, I’ve never sent any.. I don’t know how to. This prompted some oohing and aahing – I offered to show him how to do this. I have no doubt that many fewer postcards are sent today than in years past, but is this a glimpse of the future? Will we soon be in a time when the simple act of writing and sending a postcard will belong to a completely different age??
