I’ve had this card since the early-mid 1990’s, and I had it on display on the wall of my university room, and probably my first work cubicle in Los Angeles as well. Whether its because of the history of the Moors in Spain or how culturally and socially advanced the Arabs seemed to be in the Middle Ages compared to their Northern European counterparts, I am fascinated by this period of history and this culture. One of my favourite museums is the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, which has some wonderful artifacts from the ancient Arab civilisation from this era.
