Highlander II: The Quickening is a terrible film that completely messes with the world that was created in the first film. The Immortals do not come from a weird besieged planet in space. Also, in editing the film, someone decided to splice two sword fights together that did not fit, suddenly McCloud has a short jacket and a Japanese sword where a moment before he had a two handed broadsword and a long coat. My first experience of nerd fan-rage and “WTF!?!”. I watched a “director’s cut” of this film on VHS that was a lot more coherent and fixed many of these problems, but still it was not very good. And this is too many words spent on this film, may it never be spoken of again, ever.
