Saw “Noises Off” tonight, it was very good. The first act was funny but not hilarious ~ a meta commentary on the typical English bedroom farce while still trafficking in its love of mistaken identities, sexual innuendo, and people accidentally losing their trousers. The second two acts became a hall of reflected surfaces, the farce within the farce. I was reminded of Back To The Future II, where Marty goes back to the time he is in in the first film, and you see the same events through a different lens, and you start trying to untangle the whole thing, to no avail. The more I think about it, the more I like it.
