#318 – Blast from the Past

In a recent letter my mother sent me this card asking if I could make use of it. It’s a postcard I sent her in 1994 – 18 years ago. It’s almost illegible in the scan because of the unevenness of the fountain pen ink I used back then. Maybe it was cheap ink, I don’t know.

Hey Mama, I sure do miss your cooking. How are you? How’s Sol? Still alive I hope. Give her a hug from me (since you’re the only other person brave enough to get near her). Everything is great out here; work is slow, steady and hard, but I’m getting there. The French are still french but I forgive them! Other than that not much has happened. The increased sunny weather and woods that are showing more green are very welcome after the last few soggy Months.
Argh! Out of room!
See ya soon, Loads of love (miss ya!). Juan-Luis xx
